Why the fixers struggle to receive.

Prosperous Greetings Reader,

Your Weekly Insights for October 26 to November 1

In Today’s Pulse: I’m sharing something I almost kept to myself this week, a tender lesson about the hidden reason so many generous women struggle to let abundance in, and why tonight’s Full Moon is asking you to finally open your hands.

The Energy This Week

We have stepped into Scorpio season, and you can feel the shift in the air as the last warmth of summer slips away and we reach for our sweaters, our cozy blankets, and the people we love most.

My astrology teacher Debra Silverman describes Scorpio as the season when pretending falls away, when we stop hiding our shadows and get honest about what is real, much like the snake who sheds her old skin so she can begin again. I love that, because this season has no patience for anything fake or lukewarm, and truthfully, neither does your prosperity.

Late tonight, Sunday the Full Moon rises in Taurus, the sign of the earth, the body, comfort, and money. Taurus is guided by Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and receiving, and right now Venus is moving backward in the sky, inviting all of us to look again at how we let good things into our lives.

Mercury also began its own backward journey yesterday and will stay retrograde until November 13, so expect conversations to circle back, old matters to resurface, and plans to need a little more patience than usual. This is a beautiful time to review, revisit, and reconnect rather than rush ahead.

The energy this week runs hot and fast, full of passion and drive, but with very little to steady it, so you may feel a bit scattered, restless, or quick to react. That makes grounding especially important right now, and simple things help more than you might think, like a walk outside among the trees, putting your bare feet on the earth, eating warm and nourishing meals, slowing your breath, and keeping a gentle rhythm to your days.

As for the days ahead, the Full Moon may draw the big personalities and controlling energies out into the open early in the week, and while that can feel uncomfortable, it is actually a gift, because it shows you so clearly who supports you and who drains you, in your business and in your life.

When someone keeps showing you that they are selfish or difficult, believe them, and give yourself full permission to step back and close that door.

Tuesday is not the day for group brainstorming or asking for feedback on your new ideas, since feelings may run hot and skin may run thin, so keep your precious ideas close for now.

Wednesday and Thursday feel softer and more hopeful, with Wednesday perfect for letting technology lighten your workload, and Thursday carrying a warm, generous, magnetic energy that makes it a lovely day to reach out, connect, and let yourself be seen.

Friday may stir up strong opinions and heated debates, so protect your focus and your peace by stepping away from arguments that are not yours to win.

A Story I Think You'll Recognize

This past week was a full one for me, the kind that gently reminds you how much you lean on the people around you, even when you’re the one who usually does the holding.

I had a few appointments to get to, and a dear girlfriend kindly offered to drive me, and even opened her home so I could stay the night closer to where I needed to be. I offered her some money for gas, and she accepted it so gracefully, with a simple thank you and no fuss at all, which quietly taught me something about how easy receiving can be when we let it.

On another day, a different friend simply came along to keep me company. She didn’t fuss or try to fix anything, she just sat beside me and held space, and I was surprised by how much that quiet presence meant.

And here is the part that made me laugh at myself.

Whenever something comes up in my own life, my very first thought is rarely about me. It’s about everyone else, how it might affect them, whether it will add to their stress, and how I can make it easier for them. I am the fixer, the one who shows up for everybody, and some part of me still believes that is my job.

My instinct when life asks a lot of me is to retreat into my den and sort things out on my own, which is about as Scorpio as it gets. But the people who love me keep showing up anyway, and I am learning, slowly and humbly, that letting them in is not a burden I place on them but a gift we give one another.

There comes a time in every woman’s life when she needs to pull her inner circle close. It’s okay to ask for help, to be supported and not to be okay.

Knowing that no matter what you are walking through, you are never alone.

Where the Divine Feminine Comes In

So many of the women I work with, business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders among them, are the givers.

We are the ones who hold it all together, anticipate everyone’s needs, and quietly carry more than our share.

After nearly forty years of working with women and money, I have come to see that the woman who struggles to receive a ride, a meal, or a kind word often struggles to receive her full price, a generous client, or a season of rest.

Receiving is a muscle, and the Divine Feminine lives in that open, receptive space where we allow ourselves to be held.

When we stop seeing receiving as weakness and begin to see it as grace, something in us softens. Our shoulders drop, our breath deepens, and we move out of the exhausting belief that we must do it all alone.

In that softer place we become magnetic, because abundance has always been ready to flow toward us, and our only task is to stop pushing it away.

This Week's Invitation

This week, I invite you to let someone help you with one thing, just one.

Say yes when a friend offers to bring dinner, let a colleague or a team member take something off your plate, accept the compliment without brushing it aside, or ask for the support you have been quietly needing.

Notice the urge to repay, explain, or apologize, and see if you can simply say thank you and let it land.

Each time you allow yourself to receive, you teach your nervous system that it is safe to be supported, and that same sense of safety is what allows money, opportunities, and ease to flow toward you.

Weekend Outlook

As the week closes into a weekend of costumes and masks, you may not feel much like celebrating, and that is perfectly fine.

Staying home to rest and recharge is a wise investment in your energy, which is truly your most valuable business asset.

Sunday is a lovely day to enjoy something beautiful, whether that’s art, music, or a walk through the Autumn leaves, or to tend to a few practical tasks like tidying your desk, gathering your receipts, or gently looking over where your money flowed this month without any judgment at all.

Keep your distance from inflated egos, and let your own steady presence be more than enough.

One Small Practice

Place your hand on your heart, take three slow breaths, and say:

“I am worthy of being supported. I open my heart and my hands to receive love, help, and abundance, and I trust that I am never alone.”

This Weeks Happenings

I would love for you to join us when we gather again on Thursday, November 12th at 7:00 PM, in a sacred monthly space where you can arrive exactly as you are and leave feeling supported, grounded, and clear.

Until next Sunday, may you find your balance and enjoy every bit of your harvest.
