Ready to Receive Reader?
Back when I worked in the corporate finance world, someone offered to help me carry something heavy, literally, a box out to my car. I smiled and said, "No thanks, I've got it," then proceeded to strain my back carrying it by myself.
I laugh about it now, but it took me a long time to see the pattern underneath. I was the woman who could receive a spreadsheet, a deadline, a problem to solve, or another responsibility, but not help.
I still work in finance today, although on my own terms now, and learning to receive has probably been one of the biggest lessons of my life. That's why today's astrology caught my attention.
Venus and Jupiter, the two planets most associated with abundance, blessings, value, and growth, are meeting in Cancer, the sign of nourishment, care, home, and emotional wellbeing. They won't meet here again for another twelve years.
What I love about this combination is that it doesn't ask us to hustle harder, set bigger goals, or prove ourselves worthy of success. Instead, it invites us to soften enough to receive what is already trying to find its way to us.
So today, I have a simple invitation for you.
Let one good thing in Reader.
A compliment you would normally brush aside. An offer of help you would usually decline. An opportunity you've been talking yourself out of. A desire you've convinced yourself is impractical or selfish.
Just notice what happens when you don't immediately push it away.
For many of us, receiving is far more uncomfortable than striving. Yet prosperity needs both. It needs action, yes, but it also needs a willingness to open the door when something good arrives. And on a day like today, with Venus and Jupiter meeting in Cancer, that feels like a beautiful thing to practice.
