Hello Reader,
Today is Lughnasadh (also called Lammas). It's an old harvest day that falls around August 1st, right between the Summer Solstice and Fall.
This day is about slowing down and saying thank you, it's the first of three harvest times each year, when we look at what has grown and gather it in.
For us, this is a beautiful day to slow down and reflect. To take time, dropping any worry or stress you have about working to make ends meet. Just to notice what has already grown, and give thanks for it.
Here are a few simple ways to do that today:
Look at your first harvest. Think about the wealth you've built, assistance received, and opportunities that have come to you this year. Name a few you feel thankful for.
Notice what feels full and what feels thin. Where does your money making activities feel easy right now? Where does it feel tight? Just notice, gently.
Separate the grain from the chaff. Is there a money habit or expense that isn't serving you anymore? You don't have to fix it today. Just notice it.
Thank yourself. Write one line about the effort and care you've put into your health and your work this year.
Think about sharing. Could you give a little back? A donation, a kind gesture, or paying someone fairly.
Set a little aside. Savings, paying down debt, or one small smart choice, whatever feels doable.
Pick one focus. Choose just one money goal to gently tend between now and the end of the year.
You don't need to do all of these, pick the one or two that speak to you most, and let that be enough.
P.S. As we step into August and celebrate the first harvest, it is the perfect time to look at the financial seeds we’ve sown for the year.
To help you prepare your internal ground for the upcoming season, I am designing an intimate new experience for this Fall. I’m bringing together my 40 years of financial expertise with deep somatic tools to help you identify your unique Money Stress Style.
In this workshop, I’m helping you pinpoint exactly what is blocking your wealth harvest by identifying if you are:
- The Performer: Exhausted from constant grinding and unable to rest.
- The Seeker: Trapped in a frustrating "feast or famine" income loop.
- The Protector or Provider: Frozen when asking for your worth, or giving it all away to everyone else.
Once you discover your specific style, you will finally understand why traditional budgeting hasn't worked for you and exactly what your nervous system needs to shift it.
Seats will be highly limited to keep our circle intimate. If you want to be the first to get an invitation when registration opens, just reply "HARVEST" directly to this email, and I’ll put you on the early-access list!
With gratitude,
Barbara
